Students from all over the globe joined in her #FridaysforFuture strike, skipping classes on Fridays to protest the effects of climate changes. Climate campaigners from around the world coordinated the very inaugural Global Strike for Climate in 2019. The event was hugely successful. More than 1.6 million people from over 125 countries participated.
